clean and beautiful room, unique old building, nearby outstanding restaurant
Rooms could use better soundproofing, especially the traffic noise!!! the outdated bathroom fixtures are frustrating, with showers designed for very small people!!! It's disappointing to see such potential wasted in certain areas.

I found the decor charming and the spacious grounds delightful, with easy access to walking paths that are suitable for seniors like myself. The cosy room provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful countryside.
More clear signs for room locations would help.

The location offers a tranquil setting, perfect for those looking to unwind. The cozy room provided a comfy bed, ideal after a long day.
The self-check-in process was a hassle. I received conflicting emails about room assignments, which led to awkward moments entering someone else's room. The building had a strange odor upon arrival, likely from outside influences, and I found the lack of directional signs in the parking area frustrating. On a particularly warm day, the room heated up despite a fan, making it necessary to crack the window, which let in some road noise. thankfully, earplugs were available but not everyone might want to rely on them. Breakfast was serviceable but quite limited and had a late start at 8:30 am.

A Spacious Haven with Serene Views
My recent stay was exceptionally relaxing. The King Room offered stunning garden views and ample space, though a comfy chair would have made it perfect. Dining options were delightful, especially enjoying breakfast al fresco. Pro tip, arrive early to secure prime parking before the overflow fills up.

pleasant stay with room for improvement
The room offered a refreshing atmosphere thanks to its light and airy qualities, complemented by a magnificent view across the fields. The unique blend of local artwork and quirky plants in the hallway added a delightful touch to the ambiance.
The lack of onsite parking made my arrival slightly inconvenient.

Lovely stay with great vibes
Had a nice night in a spacious room with high ceilings. The lawn for yoga was perfect, and watching the moonrise was magical. Breakfast was delish! Just a bummer that the yoga classes were full, so I ended up doing my own thing. Otherwise, a cozy spot to recharge.

In a cozy single room that cost just £35, the spacious atmosphere exceeded expectations, especially the comfy bed and powerful shower. The well-maintained grounds were perfect for morning walks with my dog, complemented by clean facilities and fluffy towels. While breakfast wasn’t needed, having homestyle Japanese dishes available is a culinary highlight worth mentioning.

The massive double room was a pleasant surprise, featuring a spacious bathroom and reliable Wi-Fi. Beautiful grounds enhanced the experience, along with a lovely wooded trail for walks. the basic furniture in the bedroom felt more suited for transit stays than comfort, and the dining options were limited, only available during specific days. Despite the historic charm, it seemed designed to optimize costs, which may not appeal to everyone.

would happily go back again
The double room was comfy, spacious, and had lovely furniture. There’s tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Amenities included a flat-screen TV, private bathroom with free toiletries, and nice towels. The location is decent, I could hear some traffic, but it won’t stop me from recommending this place. The Crowspotter cafe had a fab breakfast and great coffee.

The location was just perfect for a mellow getaway. I especially enjoyed the staff at the cafe, they served me cold beers after a long day and were really friendly. And oh, the parking was a bonus, I could keep my eyes on the bike right from my window all night.

An ideal choice for a transient visit in Christchurch with best value. The room was cozy, and I appreciated the earplugs provided for a restful night. Future visitors should consider requesting a room in the main building for a quieter stay.
